PGA – Junior League Golf Comes to China

On March 17th, at the 2017 China Golf Show, RG appeared together with PGA Junior League Golf (hereinafter referred to as “PGA JLG”) and announced their cooperation to jointly boost the development of junior golf in China. PGA JLG is the main junior golf competition promoted by PGA of America in the next 50 years. PGA JLG enters China and cooperates with RG, bringing great news to Chinese golf practitioners and juniors, as well as new hopes to China’s golf industry!

As one of the largest sports organizations in operation in the world, PGA has 28,000 members, all of whom are golf professionals, it owns and operates one of the four major slams – PGA Championship and Ryder Cup. Bob Longmire, the founder of PGA JLG, introduced PGA JLG at the signing ceremony, “PGA JLG has been widely popular since being launched in 2011, it is a season-based competition specially developed for 6~14 year old juniors, the purpose is to enable juniors participate in competitions, learn about and experience golf during competitions.”

Bob said that, establishing PGA JLG was the peak of his career, and introducing PGA JLG into China together with RG is another peak for him. “Through cooperation with RG, we provide opportunities for more juniors to participate in PGA JLG.” Bob introduced that, PGA JLG has reached cooperation with 2,500 golf courses in the United States, with a total of 3,400 golf teams and more than 50,000 juniors participating in PGA JLG.

As a leading indoor golf operator in China, RG focuses on the research and development of indoor golf simulators and the operation of arenas. In order to promote the development of golf in China, RG has launched the China Golf Coach Entrepreneurship Support Plan and the RG Golf Community Arena Partner Plan in order to build a platform for people in and outside the golf industry. By present, RG operates more than 200 networked arenas in different countries and regions such as Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, Myanmar and etc., enabling juniors to contact and learn golf through indoor arenas.

Upon various inspections and reviews by PGA JLG, RG has been recognized and accepted by PGA JLG as the only golf simulation system provider. RG has reached cooperation with PGA JLG, and will cooperate with NLN led by Nicklaus to bring PGA JLG into China, organize the highest level of golf competition for Chinese juniors, facilitate the development of junior golf, and ultimately promote the popularization of golf in China.

Liu Longji, the founder and CEO of RG, explained why PGA JLG chose to cooperate with RG, “RG golf simulation system will make golf learning more scientific, accurate and simple for juniors. RG has developed the most advanced intelligent golf simulator hardware and software, reproduced 80 real famous golf courses in China, and pioneered in holding national-level online qualifications such as the China Indoor Golf Competition and the ‘Zhang Lianwei Cup’. RG has built an Internet teaching platform by working with coaches and players such as golf coach David Leadbetter, Liang Wenchong and etc.; it also has researched and developed simulator golf course Tee and practice course for children to make golf interesting.”

Liu Longji said that, RG has always been providing the best products for juniors, enthusiasts and coaches in a dedicated and persistent manner. RG networked indoor arenas have been set in communities, schools and business districts, allowing more people to participate in golf conveniently. “In the next five years, tens of thousands of Chinese juniors will participate in high-level competitions such as PGA JLG through RG platform.”

As Nicklaus said, both scales and market images of RG networked arenas make us believe that RG can achieve the reach of PGA JLG to juniors. Upon cooperation between PGA JLG and RG, a Chinese competition company will be established for operating PGA JLG offline. At the same time, PGA JLG online competitions will be arranged through RG simulators in RG networked arenas, enabling more juniors to participate in offline competitions. PGA JLG will hold sub-finals and finals in China every year. The champion team will compete for the world championship in the United States finals, team members will have the opportunity to watch the PGA finals and the Ryder Cup, and even communicate and learn from the legendary superstar Nicklaus and the PGA JLG promotion ambassadors McIlroy, Michelle Wie, Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson.
